The Charter School Division is a growing one in the state of Florida. Last year the boy’s race only saw 11 teams finish, whereas this year there are 16 teams registered.
The Favorite: Cornerstone Classical Academy
This relatively new school from Jacksonville appears to be in the driver’s seat of their division. In a mock meet of only Charter Schools, CCA puts their top 5 in the top 12 positions. They are led by 10:45 guy, Max Truog. Their number 2, Brody Olson, is also sub-11 with a season best of 10:52. If the guys from North Florida run what they are capable of they will put 7 in before any other team’s number 4.
Top Contender: Ivy Hawn Academy
Ivy Hawn is poised to make the podium this year, with 4 runners predicted to finish in the top 20 spots. They are led by Connor York who has a season best time of 10:46.
