The Mother’s Day 5k was created to help raise money for the Ocala Distance Project. The Ocala Distance Project is a youth running club in Ocala, Florida that introduces the love of long-distance running to elementary and middle school kids in the area. Runners in the program learn to succeed through hard work and perseverance. More information about the Ocala Distance Project can be found on the Facebook Page.
