Team ranking writeups

#3 — 4A Girls Week 1 · 155 points (P)

Did not enter a meet, and not one of its seven returning state runners raced anywhere in Florida this weekend. Entered here at their 2025 state times plus the 28.8-second August conversion: Alba Antunez-Perez 18:49.1, Lailani Levy 19:11.0, Makaela Morilla 19:43.3, Julia D'Emic 20:32.6, Olivia Downes 21:09.3, with Debora Larancuent 21:23.3 and Veronika Ahoeiva 21:54.7. Average 19:53.1, spread 2:20.2.

They were the preseason 4A favorite at 93 points, with seven returners at state — more than any team in the class. The projection is not generous: it prices them at exactly what they were last November, no summer improvement, no incoming freshman, while Niceville and Creekside get credited with what they actually ran in August.

Antunez-Perez at 18:49.1 would be fifth in this 4A field on a converted basis and Levy 12th. If that top two is intact, Spanish River is the best team in the class. Nobody knows whether it is.

#6 — Overall Girls Week 1 · 403 (P)

Projected first in 4A at 93 points, and the deepest projected roster in the state at seven returners. Alba Antunez-Perez converts to 18:49.1 — tenth in the scoring field — with Lailani Levy at 19:11.0 behind her.

Then a 2:20 spread to a fifth runner at 21:09.3, which is why the No. 1 team in 4A on paper is sixth overall here. Spanish River's problem is the same as Creekside's and Vanguard's, and unlike them they have not had a chance to show it is fixed.
