The Cecil Field Summer Classic kicked off Florida’s cross country invitational season on August 24, 2024. Belen Jesuit Prep dominated, led by sophomore Marcelo Mantecon’s 15:01 victory. With five runners in the top seven, Belen scored just 23 points. Westminster Academy’s Jonathan Pena and Gulf Breeze’s Andrew Beroset rounded out the top three finishers.

Creekside’s girls cross country team dominated the Cecil Field Classic, led by junior Alyson Johnson’s first-place finish in 18:00. The Knights scored 96 points, outpacing Ponte Vedra (131) and Vanguard (150). Spruce Creek’s Mackenzie Roy (18:13) and Lake Highland Prep’s 8th grader Annabella Tomasic (18:18) rounded out the top three individuals.
