Skyler Franklin finished her 9th-grade season as one of the top sprinting prospects in the country, having run times of 11.59 in the 100, 22.38w in the 200, and 52.52 in the 400. Her times ranked her as the top 9th grader nationally in both the 400m and 200m and #3 9th grader in the 100. Although she was the top-ranked athlete in the state in the 400, she missed out on a state championship after being DQ’d at Regionals for unsportsmanlike conduct. She went on a tare in the off-season finishing 2nd at the Brooks PR Invitational in the 400m and 3rd in the 400m at New Balance Nationals.
