Armando Cruz

Armando Cruz has had a great season that culminated with a state meet record of 9:37 and a private school team championship. Cruz is part of the very good Belen Jesuit middle school team that had all 7 runners finish in the top 17 places at the state meet. He lead his team to an overall 3k average of 10:12. Armando Cruz had wins at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair MS XC Championships, Catholic Athletic League Championship, Spanish River XC Invitational, and the FLYRA Private Middle School State Championships.

Connor York

Connor York capped off his 8th-grade season with an individual state championship in the FLYRA Charter School division. Connor had wins at the Ivy Hawn Invitational, Ormond Beach MS XC Meet, and the FLYRA Charter School Cross Country State Championships.

Skylar Manatt

Skyler Manatt was one of the bigger surprises of the 2022 season. After a 24th-place finish at the 2021 FLYRA Middle School Club State Championships, Manatt went on to have a breakout track season where he went sub 10 for 3k. His breakthrough track season carried over to cross country where he won all but one race this season. His only loss came to Marcelo Mantecon at the FLRUNNERS.COM Invitational. Skylar had wins at the Jim Ryun Invitational, Florida Horse Park Invitational, Lecanto Invitational, St. Leo Abbey Invitational, Bay Area Middle School Championships, and the FLYRA Middle School Club State Championships.

Martin Mendoza

Martin Mendoza is 3 for 3 this season with wins at the Gulf Coast Runners MS State Qualifier, Collier County MS XC Championships, and the  FLYRA Public Middle School State Championships. Mendoza is one of only 8 middle school boys to go under 10 for 3k this season.
